I was talking to a friend yesterday about the weird notion that art has to “mean something.” Whether it's a tattoo, a song, or a painting- if it makes you happy that's all that matters.
I wrote the song after talking with them last night. I recorded, "mixed," and "mastered" it tonight. It’s not anything special but it wasn’t supposed to be :-)
For the record, the irony of writing a song about art not having to mean anything and still ending up with a message is not lost on me lmao.
lyrics
Not everything has to mean something
Art doesn't have to be good
If everything was perfect you'd never see it that way
